Healthworks is a comprehensive wellness program that is a partnership between White County Medical Center and businesses, industries, schools and senior groups in the community. Healthworks heightens health awareness, provides educational information, gives various screenings, and offers disease-prevention programs. All of the Healthworks initiatives are provided on site at the business. Annually, Healthworks has an average of 450 events with 62,000 people participating.
More than 120 area businesses and industries receive a variety of services: immunizations, wellness screenings, Hepatitis A & B programs, safety seminars, free monthly blood pressure checks, and CPR / first aid teaching and certifications. Sixty certified CPR / first aid instructors are managed through the CPR Coordinator at Healthworks.
Programs offered to industries can include:
monthly blood pressure checks
prostate screenings
hepatitis B program
flu vaccines
lead, zinc protoporphyrin (ZPP), and spirometry testing
OSHA-approved safety classes
certification training classes in CPR and first aid
automated external defibrillator training
