Compass provides care, treatment, and rehabilitation services to help patients return to and function in the community.
At Compass, we provide short-term comprehensive care for adults 18 and older with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders.
Potential patients may be:
harmful to self or others
unable to provide for own health or safety
behaviorally or emotionally dysfunctional to the point of needing hospitalization
in need of treatment and/or medication management requiring 24-hour skilled care and observation
The following patient categories may not be eligible for admission (special approval must be obtained from the medical director and/or program director):
less than 18 years of age
severe intellectual disabilities
serious physical disabilities
active illness needing a high level of medical/nursing care
immobile patients
repeated treatment failures in similar programs
convicted felons, depending upon the nature of the crime
Compass offers:
a 20-bed specialty unit
inpatient treatment for adults 18 and older with behavioral health disorders
a multi-disciplinary treatment approach under the direction of a psychiatrist; other members of the treatment team include nurses, program therapists, occupational therapists, activity therapists, and mental health technicians
an individual treatment plan based on the patient’s needs
individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, medication management and activities therapy
